The Model S from Tesla is currently the hottest and most popular electric car in the world. The car sports a huge 17-inch touchscreen that is used to control the various aspects of the machine and provide important information to the user. Now, in an interview in Germany, Tesla’s CEO Elon Musk revealed that the company plans on upgrading the current browser in Model S to Chrome. Over the next one year, the company also intends to improve the localisation support of the software.

After this, the company is thinking about adding an Android emulator as well to the touchscreen allowing developers to easily port their Android apps. The Model S touchscreen display is currently powered by a Tegra 3 processor and sports 1GB of RAM. It can be easily modified to run a custom build of Android without issues as well. Via – 9to5Google
